After spending ages in front of the linolieum, and then the printing presses and then the computer and possibly some watercolor paper - I finally finished printing all of the carved pieces. After assembling all the pieces and running to kinkos to print it all - Oh my goodness was that expensive - I have now submitted the picture book dummie to the appropriate people to now not think about it at all. I get to relax!
So, after treating myself to the best ice cream in cleveland (Mitchell's! based on the west side of Ctown) I wanted to remember my celebration - the exact moment where it felt so good to hand the book in and breath a moment of peace. So I kept my Mitchell's ice cream cup and transplanted basil seedlings into it for a beautiful still life. Eventually I'll transplant the bigger plants into large pots for the winter. But for now I love to remember my moment of Celebration!
